Large Solid Sections
Large seasoned sections are not generally available. An option is to specify glue-laminated hardwoods. This is where strips of seasoned hardwood are glued together to manufacture larger sections of material. Utilising this process, sections may be manufactured to suit the design requirements. This process offers some additional benefits in that it may be layed up to form curves and may incorporate more than one species for colour variation. Glue-lamination requires extra processing prior to delivery and specialised services.
