Outdoor Furniture
Outdoor furniture can take the form of fixed seating or tables in recreational areas, benches, spectators seating, or free standing furniture such as chairs, tables or sun lounges, road barriers, bollards, signage etc.

When designing outdoor furniture, key considerations apart from aesthetics should be durability, workability, splintering characteristics, weight, and staining characteristics (tannin stains).

In many cases, timber street furniture components which have been damaged through vandalism or other accident can be readily repaired/replaced, a feature valued by public authorities.
